Breast Cancer Awareness
To help support breast cancer awareness this video was produced of "Never Give Up, No Never Give Up."
What is breast cancer? It is a type of cancer that originates within breast tissue, more commonly from the inner lining of milk ducts or the lobules. Women are at much greater risk for breast cancer, so much that nearly 23% of all cancer cases in women are related to the breast. While not limited to women, breast cancer is more than 100 times more common in women than in men.
Breast cancer is not preventable, but one can take steps to reduce their risk. Both men and women are encouraged to participate in a healthy lifestyle. This includes, but is not limtied to maintaining a healthy weight, limit alchol consumption and being
physcially active. Women are also encouraged to breast feed new borns to possibly reduce their risk.
Breast cancer screening is encouraged to allow for early detection, which aides in preventing and treating the cancer if detected.
